Hi. My trunk key is lost for my 1971 220d. Where might I find a key code on the car. If possable.

 

Trunk key is usually the same as door, ignition. If it is different then you will need to provide an MB dealer with proof of ownership and the VIN number of the car. There is no such thing as a key code present on a car. The dealer will contact MERCEDES and they will provide the code or replacement key assuming the lock cylinder has never been changed. This is done thru the parts dept at any MB franchise.

 

I noticed you posted a thanks in the GENERAL TECH section, the original posting was Feb of 05?. You've had no key for over a year? For your sake, I hope you have no fish with your fishing gear!
