I own a 1987 Mercedes 300 TD
when starting off half way down the car starts off like a dog but then builds boost around 2500RPMs. Shifts into 2nd around 3000RPMs and 3rd gear at about 4000RPMs. Gosh this seems high for a diesel when redline is about 4700. Is this high shifting normal ? And my 2nd question is would a larger ball bearing turbo help with the lag and give more boost. This car is in mint cond and I I'm going to keep it but I need a little more zip.
