diesel mercedes

i am new to the mercedes world but love diesels, i have driven a diesel scince i was 16 and i thought it would be awseome to have an old like and old late 80's diesel benz. just wondered what to look for and what are the things to watch with these cars with automatics and manuals. thanks for your input.

Before you buy an old MB, go to http://www.mercedessource.com and buy Kent Bergsma's book, Mercedes Diesel Buyer's Survival Guide.... You will then become an armed and dangerous MBshopper becausethat wonderful little gemwill save you tons of grief and thousands of dollars.
