The brakes on my '84 300td are kinda stuttering. It started when I broke a nipple off of the brake booster vacuum hose. I replaced the vacuum hose and checked for other vacuum leaks (found another one, fixed it). Everything was wonderful for about a week. Then the brakes started stuttering again. Visually checked to make sure all the lines were still plugged in and what not, and nothing appeared wrong. Could this be another vacuum leak? Could the brake booster vacuum hose I got possibly be faulty?

While checking for the leaks, I noticed oil in some of the vacuum lines and in a check valve while doing the inital pressure check. Could this be related (or is it its own special problem)?
