My 87 300tdt sometimes starts really rough, and when it does this the tach won't work and the ABS light goes on. usually after a few minutes, the car kind of jerks, and starts running fine, and the tach starts and the ABS light goes out. What the heck?

Electrical? Vacuum? I can't figure it out. Help. It's doing it more and more often, and for longer periods of time.

 

I hope there is a solution to this. I have the same issue but it doesn't correct itself.

No tach, ABS light on, rough start and rough idle.

87 300tdt with 235k on it.

here is some good news:

a 10 amp fuse in the OVP relay found along the firewall behind the battery was bllown. That's the over voltage protection relay. It's under a plastic shield.

changed it out and it's all better.
