Any ideas on how these cars run? I like the power output and I want the SDL version for the room. Anyone has an opinion on the motor and if I get to 1 million miles with it?

 

i have a 1986 300sdl, it runs real nice, it has about 222k i only had to change the tranny, but everything else is good. i have no complaints

 

i called a guy that has a 300sdl for sale. 200+k but he wants $5500 for it. I think that is way over priced no matter what the condition is really. He said everything looks really good, but he tried to downplay a possible transmission problem saying that sometime it shifts hard but it depends on how you drive. Anyone have any comments on this ? I also found a 240D, those are really low power cars but it is only 1900.

 

well i got mine for only 1500. but mine wasnt in a good condition cosmetic wise. but 5500 is too much. i wouldnt get a 240d as you mentioned its too slugish
