Default 83 300D Power Mirror Switch

I recently disassembled the switch for my 83 300D passenger side power mirror to clean it and it seems I didn't get the internal contacts reassembled in the correct positions. If anyone can tell me which positions the spring-loaded contacts should be in when viewing the switch from the bottom side, that would be much appreciated! It might be easiest to describe the contact positions relative to the numbered connector pins.

The switch should have a common (power feed) and four contacts that are normally open Use an volt meter to find which connector is hot, then disconnect the plug, and using an ohm meter check from the common to each of the other pins they should be open untill you operate the switch in that direction. You might have to pop the switch back apart and make sure the contacts all line up where they should, inside the switch things should line up and be guided, so that they stay lined up. If things don't line up keep trying different positions 'till thet do. Good luck

Thanks, oldrebuiltdodge!

I think your answer points out the problem in that there are only three metal contacts inside my switch. I guess one shot off somewhere when I opened it! Hate it when that happens.
