722.4 ATF & Differential Fluid Question
What is the Mercedes spec # for the ATF fluid on a 1993 300D with 722.4 transmission? I have read it is Dexron III, is this correct?
Also, what is the Mercedes spec # for the oil to be used in the differential? I'd like to use a synthetic.
If the ATF spec is 236.6 then Mobil Multi-Vehicle ATF will work.

Someone is telling me that the Mobil Multi Vehicle fluid above is not what I want since it is a Mercon V formulation.
A Dexron III formulation is what is required I am told.
Does anyone know for sure?
What kind of fluid do you use in your 722.4?
