Default 240D rear diff ratio?

I was thinking of changing my rear diff to a higher ratio. It seems like my car is revving very high at highway speeds. Can someone tell me the pros and cons of doing this. I would like to know what the factory ratio is and see if I can find something to drop the RPM's a little. Was just curious if anyone has done this and what effects the change will have on overall driving. I know these cars are not powerhouses, but if possible, i would like to get something else to work.
Thanks
Terry

Just remember the higher the number the more rev's you will get. 3.75-1 = 3.75 driveshaft turns to 1 wheel rev, so 4.00-1 would make your engine rev higher. I am not sure if or what diffrent ratio's you can get. Your 240D will always seem like a dog compared to your cummins
