Default 1983 240d, blowing alot of oil out exhaust

I have a 1983 240D diesel. Ok so I replaced my engine with a used engine and the timing chain went through the block as soon as I started it so I am a iritated at this point, so I get another engine warrantied of course. Get it all done and drive it for about a week and all of a sudden it started leaking oil out of the exhaust, quite a bit of oil I might add. When I replaced the engine I rebuilt the vacuum pump, and put all new gaskets and fresh oil. The crazy thing is it idles great and runs good but when I rev it up tons of blue smoke pours out of the tailpipe and oil leaks out of all the exhaust joints. It appears to be going through the rings based on the fact that it is going through the exhaust system, however as good as it runs there is no way it can be doing that. Besides for it to go through the rings then I would have to have low compression which would mean that it would not run that great but it runs great. Any ideas on what it could be would be a great help, I really do not want to replace this engine again for the third time. Thank you.

Camshaft? What about the duration of the lobes? You may want to do a compression test anyway. Worked on a 76 vette that put out blue smoke no matter how I tuned the carb or adjusted the timing, the problem was the camshaft. It doesn't hurt to try any of these.
