Probably, but you will pay twice as much then in a retail auto parts store?

Hey,

I got the STA-BIL fuel stabilizer and added 4 ounces to the fuel tank. I had 3/4 of it filled. So it should be enough right?

There is a mixture ratio on the bottle, so if you followed that you are all set.

I'm sure it did, there isn't a long run down to the tank, but if you want to be safe add some more. This stuff will not hurt your fuel or any part of the fuel system. I had a 86 Porsche and I use to pour in an entire bottle of the stuff when I put the car away in the winter.

I forgot to tell you, while I was pouring the stabilizer I spilled some to the exterior paint finish. Does it have any bad effect on the paint finish?

No, that's if you washed if off righ away. i invested in a roll down rubber protector, that fits around the filler neck and when you open the gas door it rolls down to protect the finish from spilled gas, or whatever you put in your tank. www.griotsgarage.com has them, cheap investment.

No, splashing some water on a spill is better then wiping, as these chemicals dry fast. But don't be too worried, If the paint is damaged by now, it did no harm. Go to Groit's Garage and get one of those flaps like I mentioned. My wife got rid of my last Griot's catalog, so I can't give you a page. But go to there website and if your patient you will find it. Cheap investment. As I said if the paint is OK after all thise time don't worry you didn't do any damage. Are you going to wash the car before you depart on your trip? If not, just wash around where you spilled the stuff, use car wash shop and nothing else.
