Mystery car

I saw this car today driving down the 405/605 freeway in California today. Any idea of what it might be? It looks like a new small Mercedes to me.

looks like benz is covering up something new.. looks like an SL same side mirrors and roof line as the current R230 chassis. The next generation MB SL is coming soon. The SL is due for a change.
The car in the pic has old 211 E class chassis wheels on it.

It does look like a covered up SL. Masking cars is common. I saw one of the first 2012 AMG GL 63 being shipped on a Cargolux Boeing 747-8. The front end was was masked and doors sealed. I took some photos of it, but was too busy loading the airplane to get a good looksee.
