Hi all, just got a used C200k Coupe with a MB car phone kit installed. I bought a used Nokia 6310i and when I attach it to the car all I get on the instrument panel display is "processing" Does the phone need time to upload it's data to the car or does my phone have older firmeware and need to be updated?

even after two minutes it's still the same? even if you dial a number?

you're putting it on the cradle? maybe the phone is faulty?

 

I have the same phone, I use it without any connections to the car, I have a case to hold it's velcro'd to the side of the console and use a earpiece and mike combo. Screwing around with the electronics is a bad idea. Mercedes warns you not to use anythin but there product, I never had a problem with my cellphne.

 

Thanks, I just found out that my 2002 model C200k only supports the Nokia 6210 (not so good)
and would need a new in car control unit (very expensive) for a 6310i.

So unless anyone has any other ideas it looks like I wil be having a buy/sell session on ebay!

okay, that's it. it is very clear now.

your take-up device is located on the dash and not on the center console... right? (figure 180).

according to that pick-up device, the phone that you can use is Nokia 6310i... since you got no 854 code but 852 instead. sorry about the mix-up since i was only basing according to your explanation instead of your DATACARD.
