Just bought the car. Originally it had the integrated phone but the phone is gone. The cradle and wiring is still there, only the phone itself is gone. Does the Mercedes cdma version (Motorola V60 with Mercedes brand) work on all 2002 since some of the phones were TDMA? If so, is there any reason why the Mercedes brand phone from that model year and for Verizon not work in the car? I see some are advertised on ebay.

 

It appears that the former owner took the phone, but he or she probalby also took the PSE (controil box installed in the trunk). It is very possible that even if you reinstall the PSE and the phone, you will not be able to get the phone activated. Verizon won't because the V60 CDMA phones don't have the required GPS, and Cingular is dumping the TDMA technology and tell me that they won't activate a TDMA phone.
