Default E320 4matic (210) trans slipping

THe Bosslady drives a 2002 E320 4matic wagon (120k miles). Starting several months ago, the transmission sometimes (once every few weeks) slips. It ALWAYS/ONLY occurs when shifting from reverse to drive. It does not matter how long the car has been sitting (i.e., how warm the engine is) - can be after a short park, or after overnight. We took it to the MB shop and they kept it ~3 weeks. They could replicate (twice), but NO error codes. They said no fluid problem, no apparent fluid in cables and no loose wires. Very frustrating. Any ideas out there? Many thanks, Dws.

Default Additional clues....

Sorry, I forgot an important piece of info. When it slips, it only lasts a couple of seconds. If you let off the accelerator, it will slow, then grab - no jerking, very smooth. THe engine revs a bit, no forward movement, let off, then it will bite and we're off. Thanks, Dws.
