Don't drive in the rain?

OK, do you have a sunroof? At each corner on the opened sunroof, you'll see a hole. That hole connects to a drain hose, that runs through the front window and rear window pillars. I am guessing your hose has a crack in it.

The only other thing would be a leaking front windshield gasket, but I would also guess that this would create a lot of cabin noise at speed.

I would pull the cluster out, pull off as much dash cladding off as possible, the kick panels, etc, move or remove as much of the sound insulation so you can see the firewall, etc, then start with a garden hose on the hood and look for the leak with a flashlight. Have a helper man the hose and slowly work your way up to the roof line. If it's rain coming in, it should come in with a hose running on the leak.

Good Luck

Let us know what you find.

not sure of the year of your C class but if you have a 202 chassis a common place for leaking is the passenger side(right side) cowl gets clogged and water pours into the blower motor and onto the passenger floor.

the water catcher is under the windshield cowl and the cowl needs to be removed to inspect the drain. just a few screws and some clips. you dont have to fully remove it to see the water drain. you can remove the right side wheel well liner and you can see the bottom of the water drain and the hose that carries the water out of the car. unhook to hose from the drain and check it to see if its clogged.

Hi Chassis221 the cars year is 2003 I do not know a lot about cars, but the water seems to be dripping out of the cladding under the dash board on the driver’s side which as I am in Scotland will be the opposite side to you. Any more help would be really apprisated.

Lucky dog you! I am an Oban fan.

Anyway, what the other guy said. I suspect the air inlet drain is on the passenger side, no matter what side the steering wheel is on, but am not certain. Open the hood, and you'll see the inlet. You'll see the drain he is talking about. If that's blocked up, water could go where it should not.

Good Luck.
