Visor removal
I have a 1988 560sl and have the dreaded visor hanging down,I bought new clips and that helped a little but they still come down.
Is there anyway to remove them completely.they both have the vanity lights so what do I do with the wires besides just cutting them off.thanks jimbo

Just shooting in the dark. Are they turning down as they would when someone is looking at the vanity mirror or is it sagging at the hinge mounting and the clip (if there is a clip in the center of the windshield). If it is the former, have you tried inserting something that would tighten the visor grip on the metal rod? Wood slivers or even toothpicks come to mind. Tie wraps, the plastic type can be trimmed and slipped in the same area. I'm a DIY type and I like to devise my own fixes. Especially on old cars with small problems where professional replacement is financially unrealistic.
If it is drooping from the hinge, make a clip from those binder clips that are normally used to hold a small stack of papers together. Probably could be color sprayed to match before permanent installation. Good Luck
