Default Auxiliary Battery: Air filter cover removal

Stupid question, I know . . . . How do you get the cover/ air filter off to access the auxiliary battery? E 350 2006

Thanks

remove the plastic cover if there is one on top. some of the cars have them. if not remove the 10mm plastic nut then there are plastic tabs down the side to pop out to pull up the cover. but after taking off the 10 mm nut you can just pull up on the cover firmly...right where you took out the plastic nut.. and you might hear those plastic clips break but dont worry almost all of them are broken and you dont need them anyway. then remove the filter.
