Chinese would be more original.
Law vary state to state, but from what I know , in CA you have an obligation to register the vehicle locally in 2 weeks, after you moved here.

I believe you can display Both plates. Better call DMV. In Oregon you will get a ticket for improper display. Taxes...

As long as you do not have to display a front plate in your state....it's just fine. If you have to have a front plate then you can get a ticket....

You ever get an answer on this? I just bought my wife a 2003 E320 Wagon from Park Place in Bellevue and it did not have front plates. It was a CA car.

It is not legal to run just a euro plate. There has to be WA plate at the factory point then you can do what you want.

As long as the state you are in does not require you to have your licence plate on the front and rear of the vehicle.

Ex: Here in Fla, we are only required to have the state issued tag on the rear of the vehicle. So we can put whatever we want in the front.

the answer is no, not legal if the euro plate is used instead of WA issued plate. WA plate required for both front and rear of vehicle.

Like other people have been saying, you are required to have front and rear WA plates. I live here in WA, and I've been pulled over for running a Euro plate. I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for it, the police justs asks you to put the WA plate back on. Alot of people I know have been running either Euro or no front plate on for years and have never been bothered by it.

When all else fails, play dumb.

WA requires both plates, but they really not bathering about the front plate that much, I know lots of people that run Euro plates, and do not get tickets its just warnings, however it is possible to get a $170 something ticket, because its 3 warnings from the same cop.

Tech ., Yes, Euro plates are legal identification, and some authorized vech. can utilize them. To drive with them even on the front, when these are not the legal plates, is miss identification, and a infraction/ misdemeaner.

i like the look of euro plates, but seriously, why give the cops a reason to pull you over to begin with? let alone the potential of being written a ticket...

I live in Camas WA and here the cops will bust you big time for having anything but WA license plates. I had a BMW with temporary's for a while so i got away with my fav. fake vanity plate ( I LUV LA) but when the plates arrived I had to put them on. across the river in Oregon, they are big on photo radar so if your front plate is Missing/not issued, they will ticket U..
