Hello all, I was thinking about getting a Pre Owned CLK here in the next month. I have been searching on the internet for a candidate. Can someone explain to me the evolution of the standard features from 99-02. I am sure that I want that W208 but am not sure of what features I might miss out on if I don't buy the right year. CLK had a facelift for the 2000 model year. Added multi-functional steering wheel/display, 430 received an inteiror upgrade. In 2001, they redeisgned the SmartKey and new shift-****.

There were some option equipments, such as cd-changer (6-disc), in-car cell phone kit, COMAND, xenon lheadlights, heat seats, and multicontour seat

 

Thanks, it seems that there is quite an abundance of CLKs out in the used market. Tons of black, silver and a few reds. Now when it comes to the factory sound system, I know the CD changer is an option but are most CLKs out there that do not have the K2 package without CD changer? I just cant believe that tapes are still that popular. Now that black opal is a nice color, or at least it seems from this laptop screen here in my army warehouse just outside of Baghdad.

I have a dedicated sat dish right outside my building. It has kept me sane the last year. 2 more weeks till I make that trip south to Kuwait. So, it seems that the turning point for CLKs is 2000. What seems to be the rare color to find in this class. I know that it is not black or silver.
