chrome vs. alloy wheels
 

I am looking for amg wheels for my 2001 CL 600. Any opinions as to chrome vs. alloy?

Chrome looks great if you are willing to clean brake dust and have them rechromed every 5 or so years

Alloy is much lighter and stronger, good choice for performance. I think it doesn't look as good as some mirror polished chrome wheels, but there's less maintainance involved other than the clear coat

chrome will look better in your CL than alloy in my opinion,with my experience, chrome is less work / less maintenance. Brake dust just slides off chrome's surface while brake dust sticks to alloy's clear coat. I have had 3 cars with chromes and 2 with alloys. I find it longer to clean alloys than chromes.
