<FONT face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color=black size=2>We finally broke down and replaced the 1987 190D 2.5 non-turbo that was rear-ended by an uninsured motorist. I have to get it out of the garage and let go of my pipe dream of having it repaired.</FONT></P>


<FONT face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color=black size=2>The car is low mileage around 140,000. Odometer quit working after accident last year. It is nautical blue with a parchment MB Tex interior. His name is Bogey. He's been a loyal family member.

The 5-cylinder diesel engine runs great and uses no oil. Steady 35 - 40 miles per gallon. It has a Mercedes Benz dealer installed factory transmission that has 20,000 miles on it. It has dealer installed new calipers and rotors. New dealer injector system too. Lotsa new parts. Near new rubber as well. All rims but one are unscathed and look like new. Air bag intact.The back doors still open and close. Sunroof works and it drives fine. The driver's rear crumple zone took the impact but when the deck lid crumpled up it shattered the rear window.

It probably could be repaired but I haven't the money to do it as I have to maintain my 1983 300D and 1987 300SDL. My significant other has dictated that three cars is my limit unless I want to buy a bigger house. (whining becausethe Toyota Death Trap has to sit outside in the weather)
