FS: 600 SL (formerly Ken Lay's of Enron)

Please check out my listing if interested. Item #: 250162814389

Ken Lay purchased vehicle new and sold it just two weeks before his death. More or less a one-owner car. Tires in fantastic shape and garaged in Texas since new. *******EXTERIOR.....The canvas top is original and is in excellent condition. Polyglas window is foggy and would be better if time was spent buffing out with a clear plastic cleaner. Very minimal scratches to the paint. Consistent with a garaged car of 40,000 miles. At some point, Ken Lay had run over a curb or something to scratch up the front air dam. *******Interior: clean, no cracks or tears. ********Mechanical: Very fine running vehicle. Purchased car down in Texas last week and drove to Ohio giving me a chance to see if any problems developed. The only noticeable problem was the occasional lighting up of the ADS malfunction light. This system controls the ride of the car making it either firm for sport driving or soft for regular driving. I have owned Mercedes' for over 14 years now and have never been able to tell the difference when the switch is either on or off. Air conditioner sends out very cold air the entire trip. Fuel economy driving between 75 and 80 mph was somewhere around 19. Before leaving, I did have the oil changed at Mercedes of San Antonio as well as fluids checked. I did not have the 45,000-mile maintenance performed. ********Summary. This is a 14-year-old car and has obviously been well cared for its entire life and without regard to cost. Due to the age, obviously the car is being sold “As-Is” and without warranty. The car does not come with the optional hard top and apparently Ken Lay did not turn in the infrared remote key at the time he sold it although I do have the master key. I would encourage anyone bidding to come see the car in person. I live only 30 minutes to Port Columbus airport and will arrange to pickup if required.
