DTM AMG racer Rare diecast model ’96
 

This is the impossible to find anymore Minichamps 1/18 diecast model of #15 AMG Mercedes C180 DTM race car from the 1995 DTM campaign driven by Franchitti. Paint scheme is the distinctive white "D2" logos sprinkled all over the silver body. Also have postcard picture of sister car that goes with the model. Model in perfect condition; never exposed to dust; always in plexiglas display case or box. This is a rare, long-time 'out of print' limited edition model... I found it by a minor miracle in the back room of a German car museum's gift shop a few years ago. very very rare to see one on the market. BTW - Driver Dario Franchitti's first top-tier series of his career, and as a rookie came in 5th overall in the series; not a bad step up from Formula 3 in the shadow of teammate Jan Magnusson. This model makes a great xmas present for your mercedes enthusiast or for yourself of course. I'd like to keep this historic DTM model but I have only so many places in my display cases and i'm acquiring more lemans cars.
