RE: another control unit

I have a 1986 300SEL and live in Taiwan. I replaced the ICU with a Siemens part 008 545 64 32 which looks a lot like this Bosch part, but at a drastically different price. Is it the brand or is the ICU for a 300SEL much different than a 420SEL?
