'62 220SEb Cabrio / '65 250SEb Coupe (or 111 parts)
Have come to the realization that I am never going to restore this convertable. My project mentor diedunexpectadly a few years back and I am not motivated to tackle it anymore. Both cars have valid WA state titles. Both are rough, the cabrio is rougher. Bothwere Euro vehicles with KPH speedos and euro license plate illumination.
The 62 cabrio is pretty rusty in all the usual under carriage locations, partially dissasembled, and had the wrong engine when it was imported; has been stored inside for the last 20 years.
The '65 coupe was sad but appeared to have recently run when I found it15 years ago. It was going to be the doner for the core of the cabrio restoration; it is reasonably complete, has manual floor shift trans, sunroof and has been stored outside.
I have unpainted NOS sheet metal as well which will fit that 62-66 tall grill 2 door coupe/cabrio 111 chassis. I will certainly entertain parting them out but obviously more interested moving them whole.
If anyone in the forum has suggestions on marketing these or advise on finding them a useful home, I am interested.
