I've got a 1981 Mercedes 280SE that was bought and brought over from Germany and fitted for U.S. Emission standards. I wanted to get it fixed back up after driving for a little while, but getting married next weekend, I have neither the time, space, nor money to do so! I'm hoping to sell for $1,500 but will accept reasonable offers.

This car is in Milwaukee, WI and below are details of what work may need to be done.
[ul][*]There may be a leak in the line for the clutch. It's a hydraulic clutch and I had to pump it a bit to build the pressure back up. Don't know if it's just from sitting for the last few years or if there's a small leak. I hadn't noticed anything when I first got it.[*]The outside of the driver's side lock doesn't work. I use to leave it unlocked or would unlock the passenger side and reach through to open the door. When the driver's side is unlocked, all four doors unlock. I had intended to get a remote entry for the car since it seemed easier (and more convenient!) than fixing the door lock.[*]I only have the chauffeur's key which means the glove box can't be locked and the trunk has remained locked. There is a possibility that the master key is in the trunk, but I never got around to getting the lock drilled out or opened by a locksmith. I had thought that if I could get the trunk unlocked, I could at least still use it because it could be either locked or unlocked and used with the push button for opening it…but it'd have to be unlocked before that could be done![*]The muffler came off, but I still have it. The car didn't seem to run any louder when it came off. I didn't get under the car or look at it well enough to know if it rusted off or if it snapped off because of the supports breaking. As far as I can tell, the pipe from the manifold is still intact and in good shape.[*]Lastly, the light assembly for the front on the driver's side is missing.[/ul]jpaschall (at) gmail (dot) com
