Transmission! Desperately needed!
I have a 1986 190E. The trans has recently decided that any sort of acceleration forward or back is too much to ask. And a new one is so far out of the question.... so, if you have a parts car in your yard, if you know anything about them and want to give a girl suggestions/help it would be GREATLY apprecriated! Im trying to learn, but my cars breaking too quickly for me to keep up. Thanks!

How many miles are on it?
Chances are your transmission is fine and you will save probably about $500-$1000 if you find out what is causing it and don't replace it. If it's jerking in gears, flaring, makes a 'chiink' noise when shifting at a dead stop or when reversing, or vibrates then it's probably not the transmission.

OR as an alternative eBay has some very nice transmissions for sale starting from I think $100 excluding shipping.
