Transmission
 

I have a 1985 280SE, and the transmission shifts fine except it will not shift from 3rd to Drive (does it only in a RARE while). Could there be a "stuck" valve, or am I doomed to an expensive repair? A friend suggested I pour some TransX in the transmission to see if that would fix the problem. Any experience with that product?
