Isn't that a baked meringue? I've never tried it. I thought you'd want more than just whipped cream on it, like maybe fruit or nuts and whipped cream. Or, do you bake it with something added to the meringue?

 

You are right, pavlova is a type of baked merinque and you can top it with whatever you like,chocolate chips,nuts or any fruit you fancy.Fresh whipped cream is better than that stuff in an aerosol can.
