I think I'll order a couple of different desserts and try them.

You should be able to find an ice cream mixing kit at the kitchen stores like Williams-Sonoma or Bed, Bath and Beyond, etc. You get a stone slab and mixing paddles. Some have goofy little ice cream bowls too.

They also have ice cream freezers, but you can get a much better price at Wal-Mart or other discount stores. If you want a self-contained ice cream maker with a built-in freezer so you don't have to freeze the bowl or use rock salt, they're pretty expensive and you have to go to the kitchen stores to find one. They're close to $300.

 

coldstone has very rich, creamy ice cream...and what youre paying for is the freshness, i suppose. plus, they dont have like 'mint chocolate chip"..they have mint ice cream, and you can get any of their toppings mixed into it on a cold stone...

for 10 bucks..

 

Yeah, 10 bucks is too much. I'd have to drive 40+ miles on top of that. I guess I'll just have to miss out.

 

I'm the same way. I have to be in the mood for sweets to actually eat them. I had tiramasu for the 1st time tonight in MONTHS. Ice cream I will eat maybe 3 times a year. My weakness is soda though! I drink too much of it.

 

but soda is also sweet...?

i rarely drink water, only coke everyday.

 

I ran across a Coldstone Ice Creamery today in Athens, GA. But I didn't stop. It was a mistake to go to Athens today. I think there's a UGA game today or tonight. What a freakin' traffic mess! It took me about 45 min to go through downtown Athens. It's about four blocks. There were lot's of pretty college girls walking around to distract me and keep me from doing some stupid road rage thing. Lucky for me.

 

college girls are always nice except for the ones in top schools
