Default A watch to match the SLR !

From Gizmag.com

The Tag Heuer SLR and Carrera are two watches inspired by the lines of two well-known sports cars that we’ll never own. Like those selfsame sports cars, these pricey timepieces are fast, expensive, and uber-sexy.

The SLR, shown here, is completely automatic and has an internal rotating chronograph. It comes in a limited run of 3,500 and definitely is a massive departure from the traditional Carrera design Tag has been famous for—shown after the jump.

Does anyone have one? *drools*

ahhhh... my dream watch.

i cannot dream no more since i'm sleepwalking.

everytime i go home for vacation, i always go back to the same shopping mall where they display this TAG HEUER which i always wanted. it's only $400 but putting them on my wrist and touching them once a year makes my day.

lol I get your point, I'm also crazy about fine watches.

Still I guess this watch should be worth a bit more than $400

Why should it cost more than $400? It probably costs less than $20 to make it.

I agree, I'd buy for $100 but no more. A $20 watch does the same thing...

I've just seen that thread which made me register to reply.

I'm just a watch lover and think this chrono is awesome. I read that it shouldn't cost more than a few hundred dollars.

I guess this watch is more likely to cost a few thousand for several reason:

- Two nice brands in one exclusive product : M-B and TAG Heuer
- Limited edition of 3,500 pieces - You won't find this watch on everybody's wrist
- Swiss made : Quality of a Swiss movement (guess it's an ETA 2826, but not sure) - very reliable. Not some crap quartz movement.

I believe such a watch doesn't cost 5,000 USD to manufacture but it's absolutely not a $20 watch.
It's probably quite expensive but in my opinion it's kind of the price to pay for exclusiveness. That is the only link is see between this watch and the SLR.

Only my 2 cts.
