Slick Steering Wheel
 

As the air turns cooler and dries out, my hands dry out. Combine that with a slick, leather-covered steering wheel and I'm wishing I could do something to make the wheel a little tacky. Has anybody solved this problem or have any ideas on how one may do so? I can spit on my hands and rub together, but it's kind of tasteless when I'm on a date. I've used hand lotion with little to no success. Moreover, I'd rather make the wheel tacky instead of my hands. Any ideas?

i thought that someone was makig a steering wheel cover that was tacky.

Spring for a fine leather driving gloves with mesh back for breathability, I have the same problem. I got mine at www.griotsgarage.com. About $40 as I remember.

I have some good driving gloves. A few different pairs with and without fingers. I don't like using them. I only use them on humid summer days when I get into a gear-banging mood with my Corvette. Besides, when it gets really cold, I like wearing my fur- or cashmere-lined dress gloves. Driving gloves aren't toasty enough. That's another reason why I've decided to make the wheel tacky instead of my hands.

No brown leather with tan mesh material for the backing, very handsome. I think www.autosportcatalog.com might have them in black.

What are you talking about? I can't tell because those links go to the main page of those sites. If you're talking about steering wheel covers, I don't want one. Mine already has one. I might use one if it were very thin and inconspicuous.
