Alright I know I'm asking this in a Mercedes forum and of course may be partial to the good old MBZ cars.
I'm looking for a newer model car. Hey, no more army, doing what I did in the army, but much more pay so...time to enter another ride (300 replacement)

on the block is the 2004-2006 S600. any info on the creaveats? (I know it sucks gas and I know regular maintance is more than the 500 (maintanence is more expsensives these days with any newer car. Every tried doing maintance water pump/start on a lexus? it's no fun.) and no one needs that much horses and so did my 560SEL but there was nothing like it.)

Other brand being considered is 2004-2008 BMW 7 series, 2003 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas 2008 jaguar XJ Vanden Plas.
1999-2001 Bentley Arnage (getting parts out here is the only problem or it would have been a trump move.)
1997-1998 Bentley Brooklands.

If anyone have any info on any of these cars then feel free. Info on actual real life ride quality is priceless for me as that is the top requirement out of all things. Gas is a little bit down there with fuzzy dice.

Oh and the 2007 S-Class but the interior looks a little barren in the back seat.


I still miss my 560SEL. Thinking about getting another one in perfect condition when I get the newer car. They dont make them like the 560 anymore. Hell the 420 even got more compliments and buy offers than the 300. Sometimes I have to rush out the store and get i nthe car and drive off before some old guy starts a convo and we end up talking about the W126 for hours.
