There ahev been a number of car companies that have tryed this Mercedes and Ford i was knew of but i didnt know that nissan did its to help completely burn all the fuel in the combustion chamber ie better fuel economy, less emissions and more more power.

Two plugs/cylinder came from the aviation industry where it is still standard practice on most light airplane engines. It produces more HP than a single plug. I had a friend who had an older Datsun (Nissan) pickup truck with two plugs per cylinder, it ran great he said. I've always wondered why the automakers stopped using this since it does greatly help performance.
