Ordered a 2012 C250 early November 2011
Car built November 23 in South Africa.
Car placed on Splendid Ace early December
Ship riding 8.3 meters deep. Ship leaves port a couple days later.
One would assume to USA , noooo.
First to Spain then to Germany and to 4 different ports in Germany.
Ship now riding 9.4 meters deep.
To USA? NOOOO Next destination ...Suez Canal. Due to be in canal 1-26-12.
Am I nuts ?
Anyone EVER seen a schedule like this ?

A UK energy supplier was considering purchasing Toyota Prius electric/ petrol hybrid cars from Japan in order to appear environmentally responsible. One of the more foward thinking Power station engineers did some CO2 emission calculations with regards to how much CO2 would be saved choosing the Japanese Prius over a locally produced Ford and how much CO2 would be produced getting the vehicles delivered from Japan. He calculated that the boat delivering the car negated 80,000 miles worth of CO2 saved by the hybrid. His conclusion :- in order to save the planet, buy a car made locally. Taking heed of his findings the power company went on to buy locally manufactured Fords which had a higher CO2 output but which had not accumulated a CO2 penalty due to excessive delivery. Interesting eh!.
