What do I do now?
I just had my Service A done at 1900 miles it took me a year to drive my 2005 clk 500 that much the car told me that it needed service in x days. I traveled 85 miles to the dealer for the service and was told they do not change the oil at that time. I left the dealer a bit perplexed and drove home. When I started the car the next time, the service needed in x days showed up again. I called the dealer and he told me to bring the car back to reset it. I'm not driving another 170 miles to do that. Can anyone help me?
If I understood your post, the dealership gave you bad advice, in my opinion. Oil should be changed more frequently than once per year regardless of mileage. I doubt that the service writer looked at anything except the miles driven per the odometer.
