New Memeber: Fuel thermostat ?
Hi to all
I recently bought a 1987 300D, my first MB and my first diesel. I changed the secondary filter and a couple of days later found that their was a Diesel Leak coming from the area where the secondary filter is, finally located exactly where it leaks, its coming form the Diesel fuel thermostat where the hose from the secondary filter attaches to it.
My question is, can I fix it or do I have to buy the part ($170!!!!)
. Are there any special precautions to changing the part?
, I will remove it to check the o-ring, but how do i bypass it ?, this Fuel thermostat has several hoses!
