New Member/Owner; E350
 

We bought a CPO 2008 E350, and it's my first Mercedes. I'm looking forward to finding some valuable info in these forums.

If it's not bad form, I'd like to post a question here regarding service. Are all of the recommended services, totaling up to $500 at times, really required for this car? I understand it's a luxury car, but are power steering flushes really necessary every 30k miles?

I had actually never changed those fluids on any other car I owned at 30k mile intervals, and had never seen it in other maintenance schedules. As I said, being a new Mercedes owner, I figured there would be more maintenance required more frequently.
The dealer is not recommending anything other than the power steering flush right now, so I'll ask him about changing all the other fluids and why he's not proposing that as well. Maybe this dealer is not one of the better ones.
