New from Houston
Hello,
I am a new member to the forum. We just bought a 2001 S500. I had always admired Mercedes Benz and then we have one and now I know why. It defines luxury although I really had no idea what luxury really was until I sat in this car. The leather is even luxurious. The wood accents in the interior are really nice and tasteful. The gear shifter is really nice. We put a Zymol leather conditioner on the leather and it looks great. I would recommend that and the Zymol leather cleaner. And its a 2001 in perfect condition, they really maintained it. We waxed it with Meguire's Black Wax and it looks as good as the paint probably looked when it was new. I've been looking at the Zymol Black Wax, if anyone knows about it, I'd like to hear your thoughts. Also the Chemical Guys' BLACKLIGHT wax sounds interesting too. They say it gives the car the "wet look". I wonder if that is the look we're going for.
Anyway, since we've had this car its been only an enjoyable experience. And keeping it looking nice is even enjoyable. I plan on having this car for a very long time and if we get another car I'm sure it'll be a Mercedes. A friend of ours told us his dad only owned Mercedes and when he brought a BMW home, his dad said "That's not a real German car." I couldn't agree more. I mean, the car even checks your oil for you. Well, I'm happy with the purchase. It will bring enjoyment for years to come.
