Welcome to the forum!!! what models are u looing for from the early 80s? diesel, gas, wagon, sedan?

 

Looking for a diesel, somewhere low to mid 80's model, as those are probably in my price range. I like what I have read about the 190's as getting in that 30 mpg range is important. I live on a farm/ranch, and the closest town we run into for parts, shopping, etc is about 20 miles away. My pickups on the place only get in the 15-17mpg range, so I was looking for something to use for my "shuttle" vechicle for parts runs and so forth. I dont really care if the ac works(it would be nice), but fuel enconomy and dependability is what I am most interested in. Quick acceleration is not that important either, just so it will cruise at 60-65mph is fast enough to cover the roads I need. What would you suggest?
