I finally did it. Picked up my 1999 SL500 yesterday! Silver on silver with just over 60k on the clock. Garaged car that saw very little rain driving and I will never drive it in the rain.

For a 1999 model, it could not look any newer. The previous owner even recently installed 4 new brake calipers, rotors and tires. Engine and chassis have zero corrosion or pitting. He only drove 550 miles in the last 2 years.

It took me forever to find this example that is in the top 99 percent condition wise.

As far as plans, keep it spotless and drive it to the store once a week, I drive my cars very little, it will take 10 or 15 years to brink the odometer up to 75k and at my rate, that will never happen
