Hi everyone,

I took the plunge and purchased a 74 Mercedes 240d after researching what car I want to tinker with and yet use as a daily driver. I was looking at Range Rovers, 80's BMWs and Benzs but settled on the 74, because I got a great deal, only 133K original miles, LOVE the body style, and read it was easy to work on. I hope I made the right decision, but so far I love it.

Obviously, there are some things that need to be fixed, but mechanically the car drives great. Thus, I need your help. I can wield a wrench, read instructions, and maintained my other cars, but what I don't have is the knowledge you guys have. I am hoping I can tap into the pool of experts on this forum to help me rebuild this amazing ride to something that is reliable, fun, and turns head.
