one of my friends talked me into joining a benz forum, soo, here i am. im 16 years old, and im a junior in automotive at a technical school. i own a 1983 mercedes benz 300D Turbo Diesel. a lot of these cars are being converted to biodiesel, soi wanted to do something different for a change. ive installed a pillar gauge pod, and a EGT gauge, and a 30 boost/30 vacuum gauge. i have the EGR disconnected, the waste gate disconnected, and a mechanical exhaust dump pipe that dumps behind the front right wheel. im running 25 psi boost. im hoping to get propane injection soon, along with boost control, and a BOV.

the car's got 228,800 miles. but back in the early 90's, jiffy lube did an oil change on it, and forgot to put oil in it. so the engine was pretty much destroyed. jiffy lube grabbed every good part left on the engine, and bought a new engine minus the parts they saved, and replaced it. so the engine really has 118,000 miles on it. the floor was also rusted out under the passenger seat. i spent a good chunk of time welding in a new floor.sheet metal courteousy of an old fuel tank.
