hi there, just bought a 2000 ml430 with 95000 on the clock, noticed it has a rattle from the front of the engine at idle speed that goes as soon as you apply any revs. hope someone can help because the car runs perfect apart from the annoying rattle, thanks folks

 

check the belt tensioner. they make a clicking usually at idle when going bad

 

thankyou, i'll check it soon as i can and let you know what i find, i hope it is something as simple and not timing chain problem
