ML350 Diagnostic tool
I have a 2003 ML350. Is there a way to reset the low-range indicator light? Currently its flashing when the car is started. The problem was caused by a wire that chaved trough and made contact with the chassis.
Can it be reset without an diagnostic tool?
Thanks

Hello,
Welcome to MB Forum. Yes the transfer case can be reset with out a laptop. Start the truck, place the transmission in N and active the transfer case switch. This will engage the transfer case and reset the hall sensor passion in the TC module. Place in drive and drive a few feet to verify that the T/C has engaged. Stop and place transmission in N and again select the transfer case switch. Cycle the key this should reset the T/C motor position memory. If you problem should reoccur make sure you have a starting voltage of above 10.8 volts. The T/C module will reset at voltages below that and will lose the T/C motor position. The light flashes to alert the driver the T/C module can not verify the T/C gear position.
