ML320 rear engine seal leak
 

Hello

I have a 2000 ML320 with 177,000 km. My non-Mercedes mechanic has diagnosed a leaking rear engine seal. With regard to the repair procedure would someone be kind enough to let me know if in addition to the Automatic Transmission as to whether or not the Transfer Case also has to be lowered ? He anticipates approximately 12 hours. Would this be consistent with a Mercedes shop repair ?
