Mercedes newbie! Just bought 1989 190e..help please!
 

Hi! Im a 25 year old college student, living in Virginia, and i've just bought my first Mercedes and after about a week of ownership, I have fallen in love with it.

The car seems to be in good condition but i know little about cars first off. I want to keep this car for as long as i possibly can and would greatly appreciate anyone willing to help me as I try to work my way into getting the car into tip top shape.

My first thought is to tune it up, as well as get the fluids changed...but I reaffirm, i know little to nothing about cars... i tuned up my last car (which was a 96 olds cutlass; spark plug and wire set change, air and oil & filter change) and thats about the extent of my experience in working on cars.

A few ticks off the bat; the belt squeals in cold weather, sometimes unresponsive to pressing gas after first starting but never unresponsive after running for a few minutes, engine stops upon starting but always fires up the second time, and passenger seat will not recline...

If anyone is willing to throw me a line and let me know anything i should about this model or my current problems, I would be greatly appreciative.
