Hi all, bought a 91 500SL last year as a pre-retirement gift to myself. Always wanted a sports car and really wasn't thinking about a Mercedes but after driving a friends Z06 Corvette it wasn't what I wanted in a ride. Saw the 91 with 39,000 miles and fell in love with it. I've had a great two summers with it so far and am amazed how quiet it is. I've got the normal problem with the instrument cluster flashing when I hit my turn signals but as its the only quirk and I can live with it.

These forums are great for general information and passing along info on some of the problems that can be encountered with all the electronics and sensors used on these cars. I will pass on any info that may be helpful.

Welcome, nice low miles for a 91. A bit of advice, take her out and run it. I have found Mercedes cars like to be driver and driven and driven.
