Default Hello from Colorado!

Hey all,

For starters, I am very glad to have found yet another MB forum! I have been racing since I was 8 years old. I started doing Jr. drag racing, and now I have moved all the way up to managing (and driving for) a race team here in Colorado. We race mainly E36 BMW M3's, but we also have a Ferrari 360GT, and will have my 190e DTM car also as soon as it's finished up.

I have a 1992 600sel (black on black with 34k miles) that will be my daily driver once everything is finished ("pillow top" leather interior, air bag suspension, Rotora brakes, Junction Produce Ares body kit, RENNtech 7.4L M120 swap [I'm shooting for 700hp], and a whole slew of other goodies).

I've also got a 1999 SL500, magma red over tan with 26.5k miles. It's all original wrapped up in a storage facility waiting for somebody to buy her.

Also in the works is my '87 190e 2.3-16. I am building it into as close a replica as possible to the 1992 Sonax 190e DTM car. I'll be running a race tuned 2.5L EVOII engine (375hp), a full chrome molly cage, OZ Racing magnesium single knock off hub wheels, the whole nine-yards.

I also recently picked up a 1994 SL74 RENNtech. It is teal, over tan with 90k miles. The color is simply gorgeous in person! I did not like the color when I bought it over the internet, but after a bit of polishing and some Zymol Concours wax? It looks spectacular. I just took it down to the road course in Denver, and blew up the radiator (oops ). But she'll be back on the road with a, much better, all-aluminum radiator soon enough! I cannot say enough good things about the RENNtech. The power that engine gives out is out of this world.

My mother has five W140's of her own. All in either desert silver, or smoke silver over a tan interior. She has three V-12's and two V-8's. She also has a 1972 280se (4.5L V-8) with 140k original miles--never been restored and it's looking great to this day!

My father has just purchased two 2006 S65 AMG's. Black on black with 27k miles, and black over tan with 48k miles. He has put me in charge of tuning them up. I will be doing RENNtech stage three tunes to them (ECU, lowering module, intercooler, LSD, tranny upgrade, exhaust), as well as cramming as much rubber under them as I possibly can. Yes, you heard me right, he bought two S65's (you think I'm kidding, eh? ).

Anyway, I look forward to having lots of fun on this forum!

Cheers,
Ricky

Hi also from Colorado, I would love to see your 190e when you are done. I also have a 1986 190e 2.3 16v, Sounds like you have some rare cars in your collection. I have some rare german cars, but nothing like yours.
